Contract Award: Embark awarded HAZID & HAZOP study for QEII & Langton Dry Docks
Updated: Feb 11
Embark Consulting has been awarded a project by Ravestein B.V. to undertake a Hazard Identification (HAZID) and Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) study for the design, construction, and maintenance of 2 floating caissons for the Langton and QEII docks in Liverpool, the UK, operated by Peelports Group.
The project will see Embark Consulting facilitate a HAZID workshop to review credible hazards during the construction, operations, and future maintenance of the cassion, and offer sufficient safeguards and control measures to reduce risks in all phases of the project. Following the HAZID, a HAZOP will be undertaken to systematically review the caisson's fluid and air process to ensure the caisson remains operable during all conditions.
Embark has supported many similar workshops for dry docks, shipbuilding, maritime, and jack-up rig maintenance.
The project demonstrates the breadth of Embark’s expertise across a wide range of industry sectors and Health and Safety techniques.
