The basic orientation of Embark Holdings Limited is to be recognised for quality in the delivery of Health and Safety Consultancy, Training and Recruitment Services through its group of companies

 

This will be achieved through:

  • Consideration of context of the organisation and aligning the Integrated Management System with the strategic direction of Embark Holdings Limited and the group of companies under its control.

  • Satisfying customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements both in the UK and Internationally with application regulations

  • Management of all Embark companies, along with employee-established quality objectives and defined responsibilities for their fulfilment

  • Establishing, applying, maintaining and continual improvement of the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System based on ISO 9001:2015

  • Continual enhancement of customers’ satisfaction

  • Tracking and applying new technologies and educating employees

  • Careful selection of suppliers

  • Commitment to increase quality of our services to exceed customers’ expectations

  • Making continuous improvement as part of every day and every job

  • Ensuring that our Policies and Procedure Manuals reflect what we actually do

  • Understanding how our jobs fit into the overall flow of work at Embark.

  • Continuously upgrading the Integrated Management System in all stages

    The framework for setting quality objectives is defined in the IMS Manual.

    Managing Director is responsible for communicating the Quality Policy to all persons working for or on behalf of the organisation and making it available to the public on the company websites.

 

Environmental Policy

  • Considering the purpose and context of the organisation, and the condition of the environment in which the company operates, the management of Embark Holdings Limited is committed to the continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS), according to compliance obligations, by following the principles and requirements of ISO 14001:2015.

  • The framework for setting environmental objectives is defined in the IMS Manual.

  • The Environmental Policy is to ensure so far as it is reasonably practicable that its operations will be carried out with a commitment to protecting and enhancing the environment.

  • As an office we know that we generate wastepaper products. However, as we strive for excellence in every aspect of our business we are committed to minimising the environmental impacts of the business operation.

  • Our stated aims are to:

  • Aim to continuously improve our environmental performance particularly with regards to our recycling and re-use of paper.

  • Where possible we will use recycled or ecologically friendly paper.

  • We will use ‘waste’ paper for notepads unless confidentiality may be compromised.

  • Reduce our consumption of resources and improve the efficiency of those resources by

  • printing double sided where practicable

  • Manage waste generated from my business operations according to the principles of reduction, re-use and recycling

  • Recycle all paper products, ink or toner cartridges.

  • Comply as a minimum with all relevant environmental legislation as well as other

  • environmental requirements.

  • This Environmental Policy Statement will be regularly reviewed and updated as necessary. The management team endorses these policy statements and is fully committed to their implementation.

  • All employees of Embark Holdings Limited are acting to protect the environment by preventing and eliminating environmental pollution through:

  • Continual education to prevent environmental pollution, preserve natural resources, and improve the IMS

  • Continual raising of environmental awareness

  • Continual legal compliance

  • Exploration of new materials with smaller environmental footprints and improvement of hazardous waste management

  • Decrease of non-renewable energy consumption and replacement with renewable energy sources

  • Activities that emerge from the context of the organisation

  • Following environmental procedures to decrease environmental pollution, and prevent degradation and damage to the environment

  • Decrease of adverse impact on water, soil, air, and biodiversity.

Safety Policy

Management of Embark Holdings Limited is committed to the continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS), according to legal and other requirements, by providing healthy working conditions, consultation and participation of workers and their representatives.

 

The framework for setting OH&S objectives is defined in the IMS Manual.

 

All employees of Embark Holdings Limited are acting to prevent injuries and health impairment through:

  • Following the principles and meeting requirements of ISO 45001:2018

  • Continual education to prevent injuries and impairment of health and improve the IMS effectiveness

  • Continual education for safe work on all workplaces

  • Managing Health and Safety risks in our workplaces

  • Providing clear instructions and information and adequate training to ensure employees are

    competent to do their work.

  • Consult with our employees to matters effecting their health and safety

  • Provide and maintain safe work equipment

  • Proactive management of changes in the Integrated Management System

  • Enabling a feeling of safety for employees, subcontractors, and visitors, considering the nature of work and real hazards that exist at every workplace.

  • Reporting of hazards, near misses, dangerous occurrences and accidents. With full investigations undertaken, root causes identified, and lessons learned with all employees, contractors, suppliers and clients.

    The Managing Director (David Raymond) has overall responsibility for Health and Safety and is responsible for communicating the OH&S Policy to all persons working for or on behalf of the Embark Group of Companies and making it available to interested parties.
